Community guidelines

Treat the block like your front porch.

Chicken Wire runs on trust, not fine print. These are the few rules that keep it that way for everyone.

Please do
  • Be honest about what you grew, baked, or made — and when.
  • Say how it was grown or stored if someone asks. Transparency is the whole point.
  • Show up on time, or send a message if plans change.
  • Meet at public spots and keep exchanges friendly and low-pressure.
  • Leave an honest review, even when a trade was just fine.
  • Follow your local rules for selling eggs, dairy, meat, and canned goods.
Please don't
  • No reselling store-bought goods as homegrown or homemade.
  • No alcohol, tobacco, cannabis, medications, or anything requiring a license you don't hold.
  • No hunting or foraging claims you can't back up.
  • No harassment, discrimination, or pressuring someone into a trade.
  • No moving the conversation off-app to dodge our safety tools.
  • No sharing another neighbor's address, phone number, or photos.

If something goes wrong

Report the listing, message, or profile and tell us what happened. We review reports, and repeat problems lose access to Chicken Wire. Blocking someone takes effect right away — their listings disappear from your feed and they can't contact you again.
