Trading in person with someone new should feel easy, not risky. Here's what we build in so it does.

Phone verification is required

Nobody can post a listing or send a message until they've verified a real phone number. Verified neighbors carry a badge on their profile.

Your address stays private

Listings show a general pickup area, never a street address. Your pin is approximate until you and the other person agree on a spot.

Public meetup spots suggested

We surface nearby parks, community gardens, libraries, and farmers markets so no one defaults to meeting at a house.

Reviews and a real track record

After every completed exchange both people leave a rating. Trade counts and ratings are public on profiles, so reputation is earned over time.

Report and block, any time

Any listing, message, or profile can be reported with a reason. Blocking someone hides their listings and stops all further contact.

Optional ID verification

Want more confidence? Verifying your ID unlocks a higher trust tier badge that other neighbors can see before agreeing to a trade.

Before you meet up

1. Keep the conversation in the app so there's a record of what you agreed to.
2. Meet in daylight at one of the suggested public spots when you can.
3. Bring a friend along if it's your first trade with someone.
4. Ask about how food was grown, made, or stored — good neighbors love that question.
5. Trust your gut. If something feels off, cancel and report it.
